Ques. 1NEET (UG) 2022

[figure] The truth table for the given logic circuit is

  1. [figure]
  2. [figure]
  3. [figure]
  4. [figure]

Answer

(3) [figure]

Solution

The upper NAND gate (inputs A, B) gives Y1 = A B = A + B, and the lower NAND gate (inputs A, B) gives Y2 = A B = A + B.

These feed the AND gate, so

C = Y1 Y2 = ( A + B)(A + B)

C = AA + A B + A B + B

C = 0 + B( A + A + 1) = B

C = 1 when B = 0 and C = 0 when B = 1:

A, B = 0, 0 1; 0, 1 0; 1, 0 1; 1, 1 0
